Elections & an Interview with PQ Gym Owner Dany Laflamme: The October 29th, 2020 Age of Ingenuity

We’ve just come off a heavy political week in Canada, with provincial elections in Saskatchewan and British Columbia and two Federal by-elections in Toronto. We’re going to talk about that.

We're also going to note that most of those vying for public office didn’t talk about business closures, the ongoing lock downs or anything especially relevant to the electorate and voter turnout was low because of that.

Unlike the politicians, we will be talking with Dany Laflamme, the owner of Nova Gym Centre Fitness in Quebec. He’s decided he can either open his business in defiance of the Quebec government's new lock down edicts or go bankrupt. This blog feels his pain and wishes him the best.

Protests Against CDN Lockdowns & Nigerian Police Brutality: The October 22nd, 2020 Age of Ingenuity

Last week, "Age of Ingenuity" hosts Al Calder and Chuck Black attended the Saturday, October 17th, 2020 Freedom Protest at Dundas Square in Toronto, Ontario. We thought it was a big deal and so did most of the 10,000 or so protestors in attendance.

But there wasn’t a lot of coverage in the legacy media and we’re going to talk about that. The Freedom Protest wasn't even the only group of good, politically engaged and active people being mostly ignored that day.

While covering the first protest. Al came across a completely different, smaller, but just as important a group of people objecting to the actions of a different and far more repressive regime. They were also mostly being ignored and their message deserves to get out.

To assist, we're going to talk about the Anti-SARS, anti-Nigerian police brutality protest held at Dundas Square in Toronto on October 17th, 2020.

CDN Journalism Sucks But Mark Paravolos (#canpoli) Rocks! The October 15th, 2020 Age of Ingenuity

It’s hard to tell what’s happening these days. To learn more, Chuck and Al are interviewing Mark Paravolos, the host of the daily #canpoli vidcast on YouTube. Maybe between the three of us, we’ll figure out what’s going on.

We’ve also compiled a list of alternative news and commentary sites the legacy media doesn’t want you to know about. We’ll be noting them here, plus posting their links and RSS feeds on our website to create a one stop shopping site for Canadian news untainted by Canadian government censorship and funding constraints.

To access our alternative news and commentary sites, check out our right column under the headlines "Alternate Media." Legacy RSS feeds are also listed in the right column, in the interests of fairness" under the title "Facts, Fake News."

Canada's Supercluster's are Failing but Chris Sky is Succeeding: The October 8th, 2020 Age of Ingenuity

Those of us who are firmly convinced that the Trudeau government is responding appropriately to the pandemic by shoveling tons of taxpayer dollars into a giant budgetary money pit might want to note recent reports out of Ottawa on Canada’s Innovation Supercluster Initiative.

In 2018, it was billed as a “generational opportunity” to build Canadian innovation by shoveling tons of taxpayer dollars into a different, slightly smaller money pit. But it’s failing at both innovation and job creation and we’re going to take a look at that.

We also have a timely interview with Chris Sky, the creator of "Mothers Against Distancing," the organizer of Private on Demand (POD) Education and one of the organizers of the giant freedom rally planned for Dundas Square in Toronto on October 17th.

Sky is a strong advocate for small business, which he considers to be the very best way to maintain existing and create new jobs. As noted in the December 19th, 2019 update to the Government of Canada website focused on Key Small Business Statistics, small business generates almost 70% of existing jobs in Canada and is a key driver of both job growth and innovation.

Sky and his wife were also the first charged under the federal Quarantine Act. The event was described by Sky in the October 7th, 2020 Activist post article, "It Begins: Canada’s First Arrest Under THE QUARANTINE ACT Sets The Stage For Aussie Like Tyranny," although we're hoping that the title of that piece is mostly hyperbole.

RONA News, Analysis, "Casedemics" and an Interview with Pastor Henry Hildebrandt: The October 1st, 2020 Age of Ingenuity

The worldwide protests against arbitrary lock downs are growing. They include a substantial two thousand person protest over the weekend in Toronto which was mostly ignored by the local media.

We’re going to take a look at that and talk about whether or not we’re truly entering into a “second wave” of our current pandemic.

We'll also be interviewing someone who’s had success in rolling back arbitrary edicts, Brother Henry Hildebrandt, the pastor of the Church of God in Aylmer Ontario who managed to reopened his church during the depths of the pandemic, despite the odds and substantial police push back.

Now, he wants to do the same for the rest of the country.
